The Panum Story
Panum was co-founded in 1997 by Sujata Gupta and Vaikunth Gupta and certified as an 8(a) Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) in 2005. The early management team - which included Joe Leo and Eric Yam – won their first major contract at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service for $3.5M in 2007. Since that time Panum has enjoyed an average annual growth rate of 15% - 20%. In addition to the USDA, Panum’s customers now include the U.S. Small Business Administration, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, Department of Transportation, Department of Commerce, Federal Communications Commission, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
In 2017, Panum teamed with a financial partner Renovus Capital which acquired a significant minority interest in the company. This partnership has allowed us to further accelerate our growth. Panum recently acquired a significant majority interest in the Newport News, Virginia based defense contractor Marton Technologies. Together, we are able to support our customers with over 600 technology, business, and service professionals.
Panum currently works on some of the largest, publicly facing programs in the federal space, supporting cutting edge technologies and business solutions for both civilian and defense customers.
We are here to support the mission objectives of our customers, help ensure their success as they adapt to changing environments, and provide guidance as the business of government evolves.
